First licensed in 1964 as a novice, call of WN4ZAZ. Obtained General
class license in 1965, and Advanced in 1967. An additional call obtained
while stationed in England in 2003 - 2007, M0ZAZ.
I work 75 and 40-meter nets to include ECARS, MIDCARS, and SOUTHCARS
each morning. Some DX'ing on 40, 20,17, 15, 10 meters. I enjoy 6 meter
opening when they occur. I also
participate in the American Foreign Service Net each Sunday
morning on 20, 15 and 10 meter bands when the propagation permits.
I began my working career while
still taking schooling at Manatee Community College as an electronics
technician, primarily repairing televisions, stereos, microwave ovens,
citizen band radios, etc. I furthered my schooling at University of
South Florida when moving to Tampa, Florida during which time I worked
as an engineering tech until 1985. In January 1985 I opened a video
franchise store, owning and managing the video and VCR rental business
through October 1988.
